There should be a slightly less major exciting holiday in January to ease us into regular life. And then even slightly less major holiday in February... and so on and so on. Like a Christmas cooldown of sorts - you don't run at a 8.0 on the treadmill for a half hour and then stop it suddenly to zero and go on with your day. We need a holiday cooldown from Christmas. It's too depressing to go from - parties, gifts, day drinking to ... resolutions, quit this, quit that, go to the gym. I need to baby step my way out of the holidays. Is it a coincidence that I am right now procrastinating my workout? Probably not...
